Ordering Pet Portraits

step 1: photos
Please provide clear photos in either digital or printed format of your dog or cat. Please remember the detail of the final painting depends on and is directly related to the quality of the photos you send. Please email or snail mail the photo's, and I will let you know if the photo will work well. If you send original photos, they will be returned with the completed painting.
Photos with tongue wagging dogs and funny expressions make the best portraits!

step 2: select background

Impressionist Background
(shown in the cat painting) is included in the basic pet portrait price. I select color variations depending on the colors of the subject or by the client's request.

OR
custom background
If you would like, a custom background
can be painted from a client-supplied
photograph or one of my own creation. A unique background can be included for an additional fee determined by the size of the painting and the complexity of the imagery.  Please email or give me a call and we can discuss background options. Please go to Pet Gallery II for more samples of paintings with unique background.

step 3: number of pets       Marcies Greyhounds

More than one animal on the same canvas - second pet,
please add 50% to the price, third pet, please add a total of 80%. More than 3 please contact the artist for an individual quote for your pet portrait. To see paintings of more than one pet, go to Pet Gallery II .

step 4: size

A small canvas less than
12" x 12" can accomodate one pet. More than one pet, the canvas needs to be 12" x 12" or larger.

step 5: submit order form

Please fill out the order form, print and mail to me along with a 50% deposit. Click on this link

step 6: completed pet portrait

When work on your portrait is complete, I will e-mail you a photo of the finished portrait. Reasonable alterations can be made to the portrait if desired.

When you have no access to any photos of the animal,
or when time is a factor a
Gift Certificate is the perfect option.

A certificate is a personalized card that can be sent directly to you or the person of your choice.

time frame: The painting will be finished in 3- 5 weeks depending on size and complexity. In a hurry? I make special efforts to accomodate rush orders. If you need your portrait sooner than 3 weeks, a small rush fee may be negotiated and added depending on my schedule. Please contact me with any
